The Blurb...

July 29, 2020, ~

Oh, my. This was the hardest thing to write! You know why? Because that is the reason I wrote an entire book is that I needed over 75,000 words to tell my story. And now I see, the typical blurb needs at least ... (looking up the info) What! "150-200 are more than enough for a full-blown blurb." That's according to who, whom? (Did I make it obvious yet I will be needing a professional line editor as well as a blurb?) So whilst I was whining away, my daughter says, "Let's do this! "

And here is what we came up with:

As a small child Princess Alikina was torn from her family and banished to an enchanted castle. Along with Hans and Friday the Raven the only other beings at the castle, Alikina is lulled into a false sense of safety and contentment.

That is until a wounded stranger arrives bearing tales of a war-torn land. Alikina's perfect realm of solitude has been breached. She is forced to leave the comfort of her enchanted home and quickly finds herself in the arms of humanity: at its worst and at its best.

Propelled by new revelations of her dismembered family, Alikina sets forth to find her father and to bring him what she believes is the One Thing that will save the country.

Alikina receives more than what she seeks, filling her heart with more joy, pain, and forgiveness only human love can bring...

141 words counting by hand. Ok that wasn't so bad but goodness it was worse than writing a name for the book... google says, 5 words or less. That's a separate blog post.
